What Was Your Worst Job?

For me it was parking enforcement officer. I was insulted, threatened and hated almost daily. Had to give it up. What about you?

support worker for kids with severe autism and behavioural problems... aged between 4 and 19. understaffed, overworked and far too many kids with way too severe problems to handle. every single day i was getting attacked and involved in incidents which required restraining kids a certain way (NAPPI) and shit loads of paperwork to do every single time meaning leaving late. once a fortnight i had to sleep over at the weekend and it was my responsibility to be in charge of the fire alarms keys etc. it was just horrible. one day an hour into my shift, i was assigned to the girls side yet again (the girls were the worst behaved and nobody ever wanted them)... went to get em up out of bed and was told to fuck off. so i said “ya know what i will”... gave my keys to a manager and left then and there

@Pineapple Bless ya, don't blame you you can't be paid enough to put up with that shit!

i should’ve known what i’d be in for my very first shadowing shift.. took an autistic lad to the park and when it came to leaving he started attacking random kids there, hitting staff, they ended up restraining him on the floor and i had to call for back up... big crowd of people round us watching... should’ve done a runner then 😂 “fuck this shit i’m out!”

@Pineapple 😂Yeah, not many of us are cut out for that kind of work!

I don't tell many people this, but I used to be a security officer at a hospital.I hated it so bad, because every night the hospital would get psych patients, and alot of them were violent. It was mandatory that we carried a sidearm,so anything could happen

@Bernie2 That's terrible.I would have definitely had someone investigating that.
Bernie2 · 51-55, M
@nate2244 They did try but he was too clever to be caught.

@Bernie2 I know this would have probably taken some resources, but they probably should have sent someone undercover as a patient to see how he acted.Someone like that reminds me of pornstache on the show orange is the new black.

Mine was working in a food processing plant, the pay, hours and conditions were lousy!
You could be there anytime from 6am, when they opened, to like 2am in the morning!
Bernie2 · 51-55, M
I would never eat processed/ready meals after working there.

My very first one was in a drive up food trailer. Only lasted a week, as the boss was a super a**hole!!! So, my first real job was costuming a wax museum. Much better.
Bernie2 · 51-55, M
@silentwriter180 Yeah was like that at the food processing plant, one night when the place was quiet, about a dozen people he'd pissed off, dummped that supervisor in a large vat of warm water to get their own back.
silentwriter180 · 51-55, F
lol
Bernie2 · 51-55, M
@silentwriter180 Yep, they left him in it to stew and went to the nearest pub for an hour before coming back to clean up.

For me it was a server because the machines I use to take orders would malfunction and it would take me a long time to take orders

It feels the best after they threaten you, you give them another ticket or enforcement

I'm only 13 so never had a "real job", but I used to carry (help people to win) people in CSGO in exchange for knife skins or steam/amazon gift card codes. If we lost however they would tell me to kill myself xD
The one I got right now is not that good.
