why do you think country music sounds good?

Serenitree · F
You can actually hear the lyrics. They don't drown out the words with noise.

I think some of it does, some of it doesn't. Depends on the song and who's performing it.

I do not have an ear for country music.
Beside the legends that were around, (johnny Cash, Merle Haggard) it HAS NOT sounded good since about 1965. Maybe a bit earlier. When Country and Western music STOPPED being that -disregarding ANY Western-and caring more about double innuendos and sexual references that the music- it sucked. That means Dolly, Kenny Rodgers, and all those that came after. They care about looks an postulating and not real C&W music. A few were exception but there we re that for only a hit or so. Like Jeanne Pruitt's "Satin Sheets"

HERE--is some C&W music.

This is not the garbage they pan off a country today.

And yes comparisons to your Mother are fine as I AM OLD ENOUGH to be yours.

Notice there is no hypersexualism--or sexual innuendo.
I like the lyrics. The vocals. The instruments. The twang. All of it
