Celebrity hypocrisy

There’s a concept here called “acting”. One can play the part of a villain or that of a hero....it doesn’t mean that the person feels that way in real life. Likewise, one can play the part of a politician who is a conservative or one who is a liberal without actually adopting that as their own personal viewpoint.
I’m an Army veteran, but don’t watch many military based films....that doesn’t mean I’m opposed to someone doing a military based film.
Acting and filmmaking are artistic endeavors made for entertainment and profit. Actors and filmmakers are people. The point of view expressed in a film isn’t necessarily the viewpoint of the actor or the filmmaker.
I can enjoy the film whether or not I know the actor’s personal viewpoint.....and I believe that the actor has as much right to state his own viewpoint as I do (even if we disagree). I’m not going to boycott an actor’s films due to the fact that I disagree with him....though I reserve the right to do so for other reasons if I see fit.

You are correct, just like DeCaprio, he flies around in a personal jet that uses tons of fuel, wears synthetic clothes made from oil and promotes supposedly green energy that causes the death of thousands of animals. There are other actors / actresses that protested oil pipelines yet they do not protest trains hauling oil that have caused larger oil spills and killed more people, and these idiots are in photos at the pipeline protests wearing clothes made from petroleum. Where is their logic?

Farmers raise corn and say they feed the world yet 80% of their corn goes to ethanol, they use fertilizer, herbicides, insecticides and use fuel to plant, spray and harvest the crop all using petroleum. Not to mention thousands of cubic feet of natural gas to make the ethanol from corn and that natural gas came from fracking. The ethanol lowers fuel economy in cars so we burn more fuel. Why aren't these phonies protesting ethanol?

Except he plays a highly trained person with a gun in those movies, not billy bob joe who dropped out of the 8th grade and can barely tie their laces never mind use a gun safely

Absolutely... and I'm wondering why the Hypocrites. still have black actor and actress categories at their Awards ceremonies
