Can you sympathize with everyone?

I usually find a way to sympathise with almost everyone. I will however almost always keep it to myself.

Even sociopaths deserve sympathy

Oh doubtless there are people out there who when you read of their 'exploits' make you shudder and turn your stomach.

Whatever it was that once made them 'human' has long since been lost to something you can't fathom.

But in my experience, the more you look into their own personal life experiences the more you can see why they ended up doing whatever it was they did. And much as it may 'freak you out', you can't deny a feeling of some sort of sympathy for them.

Sympathy is usually an impulse reaction, not something you have much control over. In that sense, you can't choose who you sympathize with based on whether or not they're worthy of that sympathy.

no, i can't sympathize with everyone, or even empathize with everyone. hard to describe, but i'm in a "bubble" the vast majority of the time. even if i desire to feel something, often times i cannot.

Sometimes I feel that way.

But no.

I feel sorry for the bad ones the most.

I wonder what happened to make them that way.

Terrorists, kidnappers, rapists and child abusers get zero sympathy from me.

It's a gift more people need to have or attempt at with most cases
