The funny thing is. I curse a lot in my FB comedy posts, but in public I rarely curse. So if I say that then it is usually for comedic value.

The term is not said for the purpose of saying a vulgar thing. The term is a clear statement of utter rejection. This has it's place in language. It is an important thing to be able to convey. It is a vulgar formulation but there is no better way to say stop, desist or face violence. It is a popular declaration of war.
