I am a liberal and I also have been called here already libtard. I think this is not fair.
I try to respect different opinions without getting disrespectful and I want this from other people too. Sadly it doesn't happen too often on this site.
@yondu You might be right. 😅 And of course I think so too that I am only right with my opinion. 😆 So I try to show others that I am right - most of time without any success. 😉 But as you have recognized it too: You have to do it with RESPECT. And respect is very rare on this site. 😟
I'm an independent who leans about 70% liberal on social issues, and about 50% liberal on economic issues. The conservative platform has its merits, and having all conservatives shouted down as bad people -- along with the other regressive things some liberals do, makes me furious, both as someone who slants liberal and as an intelligent human being. It makes people look like fools when they use ad homenem attacks against their intellectual foils, and it hinders actual progress. Shouting people down as racist without talking to them isn't progressive, it's regressive.
