Because you want to believe people are genuine, kind, and have a heart of gold when in reality most are not. You give people the benefit of the doubt which is an admirable trait but foolhardy at the same time. You should always keep a wall between you and others. Strangers keep a 15 ft stone wall with sentries and barbed wire. Friends, maybe more like a wooden fence sort of wall if you catch my drift

I have the same Lynn. I think it's because I tend to be a very honesty person myself, and I naively assume everyone else operated in the same way.

You have a good heart and are trusting of people. It sounds like it is part of your inherent make up.
My suggestion is to watch the actions and match them with the words. If they do not jell together then it is probably not true.

It's probably because you don't lie you think everyone doesn't either. But sometimes people lie.

idk ive been there when people are deceptive they want you to believe. there could be pieces of truth wrap up in a twisted lie. i dont get people like that.
