Syed Abdullah Shah Qadri or Syed Abdullah Shah Gilani, known as Bulleh Shah, was a Punjabi philosopher and Sufi poet during 17th-century Punjab. The verse form Bulleh Shah primarily employed is the Kafi, popular in Punjabi and Sindhi poetry. He was a mystic poet and is universally regarded as "The father of Punjabi enlightenment".

@Lucette Thanks for liking the song. Me too have also not read about Bulleh Shah's philosophy. I even don't know if much of his text still exists. I just shared this song with you because I like it, and has in my playlist too. I am still finding answers to my questions about existence and purpose of life. I will surely try to go through the philosophers you quoted when I get time.

Let me explain the meaning of the main verse "Bulla ki jaana, main kaun" to the extent I have understood.
"Bulla" => name(identity) of poet
"ki" => what
"jaana" => to know
main => I
kaun => who
Simple meaning can be, "Bulla what knows, who I am". He meant to say Bulla(the person whom world identify as himself) even doesn't know who actually I am. He also meant to say I and Bulleh Shah are two different identities.

Thanks 🙂

@Lucette Thanks for sharing about the philosophers. 🙂
I was just searching on Jean-Paul Sartre's philosophy about Existentialism. At first glance it seems similar to me what Sadhguru is saying, "Purpose of Life is to live". I will read that later in detail, and may need your help to understand it better. Thanks again, Me too believe that sharing is helpful in our personal search for enlightenment.
Thanks 🙂
