Bluetooth is wireless means of connecting devices. It can even be used to share an internet connection between two devices.
I don't recommend the later for a number of reasons, least of which is that it's not secure nor very fast. And such a connection will cost you a fortune through your service provider.
However it can be used safely for instance like an external speaker.
It unfortunately has other security issues. Like with a external keyboard. It's possible for someone to log your keyboard strokes if they are reasonably near by.
If you should use a Bluetooth device it's always best to disable any Bluetooth connection immediately when you are done, no matter what device is being shared.
Read your connecting devices manual's carefully! There maybe other security issues both pro and con.
I don't know what I would do without my Bluetooth speaker! It's absolutely marvelous! Makes YouTube sound like it's coming from a high fidelity TV sound system right from your cellphone.😁
Note if you do this don't buy a cheap Bluetooth speaker! The medium price at least! I think it cost me around $100 US when it was new 6 years ago and have used it over many cellphones.

So long as you have a good dentist it's safe
