A Fight with Fate [I Hate Hospitals]

A friends wife grappling with post covid complications, on the verge of loosing it.

So much around us is so meaningless. 🙁
These are times when words of comfort just sound vapid and meaningless. Just know there are those of us who hear your pain and care. Be well and stay hopeful bud.

@WandererTony I'm glad you met my brother. He's a beautiful soul, and also loves to laugh. He is a good caring person.

@Grateful4you Thanks David..again wishing a very quick recovery for your best friend. See you around. 🙋‍♂️

@SW-User yes,Zen. He gave me some quality time today, and it felt good.

I can understand it feels like that but keep battling. Even small victories have meaning. Unfortunately we often miss it.

All the best to you & your friend & his family.

@nowic2 Thanks so much. They really need all the wishes they can get!

Oh Tony I'm so sorry..sending positive vibes.

@WandererTony Feel free to vent. I know sometimes comforting people feels like empty words, but there are those of us here who do care; hopefully her strong will works and she will recover ❤

@SW-User Hopefully. Trying to get blood doners and funds too. My friend has lost his job in lockdown last year. We have got some good response so far. Neighbors and friends have contributed. Hope its not all futile.

@WandererTony Nothing is futile when people work together.

Oh, I hope she recovers fully while around us it seems "everyone" else is fixated on foreign holidays, over-crowding British tourist spots or night-clubs.
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@ArishMell We lost her 2 weeks back. Left an adopted daughter, and shattered family members.

@WandererTony Oh no! Oh, I am sorry. I feel awful now.

I lost a friend to Covid last year, too, though for him it was the tipping-point as he was already weakened by a heart problem and very severely-advanced Alzheimer's. When I thought back I realised he and I had known each other for longer than any of my many other friends and acquaintances.
