Can I put a computer near a TV?
If a computer accesses the Internet, can I put it near a TV? If not, then how far away does it have to be?

oh no if you do that you'll have to make a tin foil hat...

just in case that knock on the door is "visitors"

I already have a tin foil hat.

However, I am just not tech savvy. Trying to figure out how to arrange my one small room in a rooming house before I take my stuff out of storage. I have a desk computer which will be on the Internet and in about a month, I'll be buying a wall TV. I have to know where to place the desk where my computer will be.

I just asked a man in my rooming house who is in his 30s (a kid!)
He says it doesn't matter if I put the computer next to the TV.

I think I am remembering a tech person telling me not to put the Internet computer near my TV way back when I got my first computer in 1993. Maybe things were different then. Or maybe it was all some kind of modern myth like not swimming for an hour after eating.
