Why The Last of Us Part 2 is receiving so much hate yet it gets a solid 10/10 for many?
I'm thinking they're not a fan of its franchise and they think that the story is trash. I knew this game would turn out great, but others think otherwise.

I haven't played it yet. I'm receiving my copy today.
But I think it's the salty Xbox fans 😂. Personally I don't prefer any console as I own both but yeah Sony does have a great set of exclusives. However, this generation did see some exclusives sink like Days gone and Detroit:Become Human.

@xSiFiGamer2016x I too have them and I probably will get the next generations as well.
I mean like days gone had a huge hype but it had a sort of monotonous gameplay. Then Detroit:Become human seemed like another clone of Heavy rain. But Heavy Rain had an intriguing story to back it up. I still loved the game.
Let's not forget the walking simulator Death Stranding. I read the reviews and ran away from it 😂.
I'll be honest but the 7th generation consoles had better titles. It's getting more stale as we go forward as they're gonna port GTA V to the 9th gen which proves that Rockstar Games is milking the fucking game.

Sony was actually suppressing bad reviews with false copyright strikes ahead of game launch. The main reason why people don't like the story is they killed off the main character in the last game in a way that doesn't make sense - Joel's wariness of other people is heavily emphasized in the original game and yet here he just freely lets in the group that murders him, even telling them his real name and where their base is. It feels contrived and inauthentic.

@plungesponge I can really see that, but you should know that some people don't have the game yet, wanting to see what's next, and this would throw everyone off.

@Leafkiss The story is just intensely dark and serious, which I've never felt this shocked before other than the original.
