why does Alabama have so many pine trees?

AngSmith · 51-55, F
And many lumber companies use grow them like a crop. That's why you will also see areas where they are all the same size in an area, but the ones in the next area are the all the same but different from the the first. The log a different "field" every year and then replant.

The weather and temperatures as well as rainfalls suit the area...Pine has a very long life tending to few centuries

Climate, temperatures, rainfall. The same reason most of the US has pine trees.
Because the grow fast and the paper mills didn't want to replant anything else
