Cars are a lot quieter and more powerful nowadays, aren't they?

I remember my first car (1993 Ford Escort) sounding like a tractor when it took off, haha. Same with my brother's which I think was a mid 80's Chevy Cavalier. My current vehicle (2013 Chevy Malibu) is pretty quiet and and has [b]way[/b] more power compared to those.

Its a Chevy and the only reason why it's quiet is because it's in the driveway up on blocks.

@latinbutterfly you better dump that money pit - it's getting older and it aint going to get better. I had one - a new one once (camaro) and in 5 years I had the fan stick to the shroud - the air conditioner go out - the weird crooked hose for heating burst - and many others

Yes much so. Some modern 1 litre turbos now are much quicker than say the rs 2000 escorts I had back in the day.

Yes. Most cars have well over 150-200 horsepower now and use less gas. 🙂
