Should we genetically modify unborn children to only be female?

I was recently reading a scientific research article which said genetic modification of animals was now possible to ensure only females were born which is obviously very useful in the farming industry.

This got me thinking. Would it now be advantageous to have 3-4 generations of humans which are 100% or close to 100% female.

Think about it. At the present time, the advantages males have over females are big at every level of society something which is well documented.

If we had a few generations of 100% female population we could eradicate this and have a truly equal society.

Then who'd send all the unsolicited dick pics😅

@SW-User one of the many advantages of having no more males I’m sure you’ll agree.
HeteroDox · 36-40, F
It woudnt make incels any more appealing.
HeteroDox · 36-40, F
@Laurajade what equality exactly do you mean?
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@HeteroDox income, socially etc.
HeteroDox · 36-40, F
@Laurajade so how would increasing a female population put them on par ? you cant just cut one problem to fill in for anlther. and again it couldnt be enforced
Miram · 31-35, F
No. The supply of sperm is limited, with the collapse of electricity, the banks will no longer even be useful
There are biological benefits for the existence of two genders. Important traits essential for survival and for creating balanced upbringing for the off-spring will disappear from the gene pool.
The equality argument- It is not equality when males become a disadvantaged minority or are driven to extinction.

@Miram good points.

This is the weirdest, most elaborate pick-up line.
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@Nobody37 ha, genuine question!
helensusanswift · 26-30, F
I rather like my man. I have no desire to have an all-female population and I am quite certain that I am equal to any man without any genetic tinkering. I take it you are trying to wind people up?
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@helensusanswift not in the least, this was a paper that I read and thought it would make for an interesting debate. I appreciate your viewpoint.
helensusanswift · 26-30, F
@Laurajade It does!
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@helensusanswift just to be clear, nobody is taking anyone away. It would be future generations

Actually the way most of the men feel suffocated in male body n either wanna cross dress or change the gender..it's not a bad idea.
NenaRussa · 22-25, F
Disregarding that same sex rape is a thing, and could actually be more if most women are straight and people have to fulfill “desires”.

Ends do not justify inhuman means.

Also, if that is the only benefit- by that logic a world with only males would reduce rape also.
@Laurajade
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@SW-User absolutely rape can happen between sexes and that should not be discounted.
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@NenaRussa just to clarify it would be modification at a genetic level. There would be no forced gender swaps with people who are born. Nobody would have know any different if they were supposed to be Male.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
🤦‍♂️
NenaRussa · 22-25, F
Lol how would that work? Who would be their fathers?
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@NenaRussa we could simply use sperm from sperm banks simple really. From a reproductive viewpoint males are largely redundant now.
NenaRussa · 22-25, F
Please go back to your home under the bridge 👹 @Laurajade
This shit is giving me a headache 😆
SteelHands · 61-69, M
You don't seem to understand the correlation between rarity and social valuation or the humongous advantage that any small country could gain by not participating.

This is probably the most insane idea I ever heard but heh, I'm gonna rule the planet so what the hell.

😆
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
welp the Internet definitely gives EVERYONE and I mean everyone a voice
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@DeluxedEdition sorry if this is a bit out there! It’s just designed to have a bit of a debate, don’t you think it would be good for women’s equality?
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
This is NOT how you get women’s equality lol I don’t even know where to begin criticizing your “brilliant” idea @Laurajade
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@DeluxedEdition oh I never said it’s a brilliant idea. Just something to debate.

@SW-User that’s why I’m suggesting 100% females for a few generations.

You just want a harem
Since we still need both genders to reproduce, that makes no sense. And for some of us, a world with no men would be a rather bleak one.
Laurajade · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard from a technical standpoint males are now largely obsolete. I understand where you’re coming from however.
