Does facebook show you people you may know if you've looked at their page?

I was talking with a co-worker I like. She was telling me that she saw my pic on facebook, and that it was cute. I looked at her page the other day so I was like😬 . She asked me if I saw her page, and I admitted lol. But I was thinking to myself, how did I come up on her facebook? Was it because I was stalking?
We don't have any mutual friends. Or maybe she typed in my name to look me up?

Just curious, it's no big deal at all. I like this co-worker.
