Other Universes/ The Multiverse

now, i know many of you dissagree with Christians, and I totally understand, but I want you to keep as open a mind as possible.

I like thinking of nerdy things, one of my favourite things is stuff like this: other universes. now, as a christian, we are always told we are all unique, only one of us. and then we are told God can do anything and everything, if he can do anything, that means other universes could easily exist.

but then what about people, if theres only one of me, does that mean there are other me's in other universes? if so then what about the Soul. I believe its only logical for a multiverse to possibly exist, but could it really be possible to be more than one you? if your desitined to do nearly anything across an infinite multiverse, then how on earth would an afterlife work??

....I just finished Stranger Things, it got me thinking lol

i hear you - but i think the logical flaw is that the 'you' in another universe is not 'you'. So there is only one 'me' notwithstanding that there there are other beings that might be like you in every way in the multiverse.

@ButterRobot BOOM, exactly! so whats going on in my head, if there was an afterlife, since i believe in one, would i see many echos of different versions of...me.. or, and this is reaalyy out there, different afterlives in different universes.

if memory serves 1) God is not of the universe (he created it) and 2) heaven and hell are not part of the universe and 3) assuming there is a multiverse. I guess its logical to assume only 1 afterlife for all beings of the multiverse.

@ButterRobot well all of my theories are tied back to a ...space... that i found out a bout years ago, the idea of a "zero-th" dimension, like a space that exists around and between dimensions yet possibly doesnt exist, Like quantum numbers, both a zero and a 1 in one space at one time. but thats a whooooleeee nother bucket of cabbage right there

It's not really 'you' it's just a look a like from another universe. You are unique because of your experiences. A 'you' from the another universe would have different experiences, even if slightly different, making them not you. Did that make sense?

So of there is an afterlife there could be one for each universe or it could be one for all universes, and I think the same would apply for a god, there could one, or more, for each universe or one for the entire multi-verse

@SW-User well the idea with God is that he exists beyond our dimension, so in theory so might heaven, but honestly, i have no idea, its so hard to talk to both christians and other, often non chrisitan scientist. some other chrisitans think its almost blaspemous, and some athiests can think its silly mixing science and god

well i believe in an undying being that basically can do everything, meaning he likely knows everything that has happened or could happen. the idea is that he exists beyond our dimension, and if he knows everything that COULD happen but doesnt, then its highly likely there are an infinite other universes he made seeing what else happened. honestly , i dunno, i just like to think about stuff

@HeWhoLaughs that's fair enough. Multiverse theory could be correct for all we know but it doesn't hurt to think of these things an question. I think it's a neat theory (especially since I watch Rick and Morty) but yeah lol.

the big issue with mulitverse theory is that it means techically nothing about our universe is really that "unique". either way, its just like aliens, if it exists, its massive news and freaky, anmd if it doesnt, its massive and freaky.
