In honor of the completion of the Cassini-Huygens active mission

I raise my morning iced coffee to the wonderful images taken by and incredible science performed by Cassini-Huygens over its 20 years of deep space travel and operational time.

Here are some stand-out images from the mission of Saturn itself, the hazy moon of Titan and the frozen landscape of the moon Enceladus.

So much to be learned from these images.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@wetncthru There really is. They'll be a source of study for many years to come.
wetncthru · F
@UndeadPrivateer I hope so! These distances are like numbers can be in international finance = astronomical. Literally.

Incredible. Enceladus ❤️
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@summersong It's so pretty. :D I love it.

@UndeadPrivateer beautiful and the ocean!!
I do love me some moons :D
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@summersong In Cassini's final days it was able to provide some more data to add to the growing evidence of a subterranean ocean on Titan too. Gotta love them water-bearing moons.

Hypnotisingly beautiful.
Great Pictures

Thank you!
Very nice!
Some people would have never seen those due to their narrow web focus.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Some1Else Precisely why I post them. There are honestly hundreds of beautiful images from the mission but I just skimmed a few of the stand-outs in my opinion. There are many more, the beauty of the universe is really quite stunning.

the most successful space exploration mission ever
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@lorne13 The Voyager probes are certainly up there too, I think. But Cassini-Huygens is certainly the most data-intensive mission to date.
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
I raise my tea in salute to that.
