It was surprising to know that the apostle Thomas came to India and his relics are kept in south india where a church in his name his built . he converted many indians and made them christian .
Mughals came and ruled for hundreds of years and forced and made many people become muslims and hence many Indians became muslims which now exist in pakistan bangladesh and indonesia as well .
Buddha came and made most of china japan and near to buddhism .
Mahavira came and made many to Jainism . Guru gobind came and converted many to sikhism .
However today hinduism is still flourishing at its best . Sikh are few , jain are few , muslim are many , buddhist and christian are negligible . I do not understand what is in hinduism that it is flourishing and even getting stronger . Such a great person of christianity came to this country , preached , and is buried and I did not knew until today . Though the Indian church is Orthodox syriac church .
