Do you have a credit card?

In the Netherlands they are hardly used. We use mostly cash and bank cards over here. Credit cards are only used by some webshops and cheques aren't used at all. (Cheques can be cashed, but against a high fee because it's a very unusual process.) Is it true that my country is an exception in that?

What is the difference between a credit card and a bank card?

A credit card allows you to purchase things up to a certain limit and pay all at once at the end of a month, and I believe it goes through the credit card company. A bank card processes every payment immediately and directly.

@Pleswe: What you call a bank card is called a debit card here in Aust.
