Did the BeeGees talk in the same tone of voice that they sang in?
Like that was their regular voice?

No, they had a whole career *before* the countertenor/falsetto disco years.

@Flenflyys: eh, that first one had played out. I think the whole move to disco worked brilliantly for them as a career revitaliser, even if most of their music makes me want to lie down and have a nap

Yea somehow people loved it. Probably because everyone was high in the seventies.
firefall · 61-69, M
@Flenflyys: Pretty much, yeah.

I assume Barry is the only one you really wonder aboot.
Elegy · 41-45
They are but Barry was the the one most commonly associated with the falsetto. Robin and Maurice were the twins.
Flenflyys · 26-30, F
Ahh ok...Maurice. Are they dead
Elegy · 41-45
All but Barry.

No. they are like most typical English bands who sounded American when they sang, but sounded British when they talked
Flenflyys · 26-30, F
Lol
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@firefall: close enough
firefall · 61-69, M
@Ambroseguy80: ah! we were looking for a target to test out QUEEN-1, our new drone series - mistaking bloody colonials for Brits is definitely due cause 😝

I doubt it. As far as I know that is called singing in Falsetto. Apparently it's difficult to do that while still making the vocals audible. I enjoy listening to "Stayin' alive" now and then because it just sounds so darn happy ,upbeat and amusing.

No and I wish they had of stayed away from disco. *argh*
