Accessories to hobbies are always more fun than the hobbies themselves
[@334441,summersong] yes. Waiting for the wax to melt killed me.

[@25627,Selah] I hated candle making. Soap is a little bit less frustrating.
Now I have a bunch of supplies for resin casting but I’m not sure if I have the patience for it.
Have you tried making soap?
[@406205,InOtterWords] not yet!
[@25627,Selah] its a good one, not overly expensive and you get a usable product afterwards

You sound suspiciously like my ex
[@502796,Sibo191] she seems cool

[@25627,Selah] not the adjective I would pick, but sure. We can go with that
I would recommend not getting into cold process soap making. 👀 Mainly because it's all technical and shit and you end up needing so much stuff. I had literally started keeping a notebook for soap making notes and I was all ready to go out and buy supplies, when I actually tried one (a cold process soap) and it gave my dainty skin a rash. So that was a lot of time and money saved.

I'm glad I've mostly settled for vicariously enjoying hobbies through YouTube videos.
