What has been one of the most difficult things to unlearn as you've aged?

I am not my father. I'm not trash or stupid. And i don't have to be what others expect or require me to be.

Probably not the most difficult. Still up there though.
That confidence is a sign of arrogance. I was taught to be humble and that included having no confidence, probably from growing up in a religious household and one where the women are treated more like cattle. It made me very meek.I'm trying to reteach myself the difference and I have a lot more confidence and can get things done better than I used to as a result.

Oh, the lies we're fed!😆@iQuit
Mainly, that most decisions are mine to make, as an adult. If something’s going to get done, I have to initiate it.
(What I’ve had to unlearn is that someone else will take care of it.)
