What do you think about gender roles? How strongly do they affect your thinking?

NenaRussa · 22-25, F
I think they exist for a reason, as most stereotypes do. Some of them I like, some I don’t. I have no problems with other people choosing the ones they prefer as long as it’s not rooted in bigotry.
Men & Women are more similar than they might think.
They really have no bearing because I’m gay.

Only when it comes to reproduction.

I agree with basic gender roles but noone should be stopped from doing what they want to do in life.
I agree with the man leading the family in a marriage.
I agree with the guy holding door for ladies but I also often hold door for men and women especially elderly.
I agree with men asking women out for the date. Its not wrong for women to ask but in my humbled opinion this creates some issues.
So many other things those are some examples.

I guess I don’t consider them often though I’m sure I likely subconsciously look for some. Things like a partner staying home with the kids is the same either gender as long as they aren’t financially struggling with one income why not have a parent home with the kiddos if they’re happy to do so.
