Environment has a lot to do with how a child becomes an adult because it directly influences their daily life.

Not sure. People interpret what they can perceive of their environment in building expectations. So, internally, individuals are navigating life based on their expectations; even if their expectations are not true to their actual environment. In that way, environment can factor into who a person can become, and expectations should be considered when understanding who a person is.
