What have you done during the past year that has made you feel proud or happy?

I finally got a job that I like with good pay, though it's seasonal and there will be a break of a couple of months later this year (during which I'll be able to collect unemployment, unless I get another job), and I made a few new friends. So I guess 2018 wasn't all bad.

How was 2018 for you? Here's hoping next year will be better for all of us.
I was able to leave the hospital, got my own apartment, and started living mostly independently again. I know it’s not a big deal to most here but it was a huge step for me.
@TeresaRudolph71 It’s been a long road back. Often I feel like a stranger in a strange land but I’m making it one day at a time. 🦋

@DarkHeaven Good for you. That's the only way. I admire you for facing your fears, and I know you'll make it. 💜

My relationship with my father has improved. He and I have both made a conscious effort to become closer since my mother died in late 2017. We each visited the other, and have been talking on the phone more often.

2018 was not as bad for me as 2017 or 2016. I’m hoping 2019 will be good.
@SmartKat ✌️

@SmartKat That's wonderful. I know that relationships with family members can be complicated, so that can take a real effort. But I also think that death can make a person realize that we only have people with us for so long.

I'm very glad for you, and I'm very glad that last year was better than the last two years before.

It was OK. Not bad, but not great.

Yet I did get to see this!

@TeresaRudolph71 Maybe on some lonely path I will round a bend and see a fairy princess who is lonely, too.
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
@JoyfulSilence I could see that happening. :)

@TeresaRudolph71 I am rereading the Silmarillion so this sort of stuff is on my mind!

2018 was a tough year for me and I gained weight so it was a disappointment to me .
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
@SW-User I'm sorry to hear that. Even though you're not here anymore to see my response (and I'm sorry I didn't see your reply until now), I hope you're able to lose the weight, and the coming year is better for you. And I hope you'll come back and see my response too.

Losing 45 pounds
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
@QueenOfZaun Oh wow, good for you! That is quite an accomplishment. That's one of the things that I want to do. Well, 40 pounds anyway. I know that losing weight, especially that much, isn't easy. I hope you're able to keep in shape. I know that maintaining can be a challenge too.
Frankly, I haven't done one damned thing that's made me feel proud or happy. I'm just surviving, which, I guess, is something.
@TeresaRudolph71 Thank you for your kind words, Teresa. That I'm still here is more discouraging to me than hopeful. It's doubtful the results of the dental malpractice I've received will heal satisfactorily, despite all the procedures and therapies I'm using. Among my physical injuries, that one is, by far, the hardest one to deal with. I truly need a miracle healing. Nothing else will do. I don't know how I came to choose this fate, but it hasn't left me with the kind of life I think I can live with. Even luck of the draw doesn't choose failure this many times with one person.
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
@PhoenixPhail Oh gosh, that doesn't sound like something that anyone would choose. I'm sorry to hear that that happened to you. I hope that your injuries will heal eventually. If it takes a miracle, then that is what we need to ask for.
@TeresaRudolph71 Thanks, love. I'm totally open to accepting a miracle.

TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
@BiasForAction I hope so, for us both.
wstcstrob · 46-50, M
My 2018 was so good, if my 2019 is only half as good it will be awesome.
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
@wstcstrob Wow, that's great. I hope the coming year is just as good for you. :)
St0ut · 51-55, M
Congratulations. Sound like it’s working out for you.
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
@St0ut Hopefully it will, thanks.
