I'm happy with the way nature has arranged things. If I wanted something different, I could go to another part of the world where things are different.
At the equator, they have 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night.
Or I could go here. In Svalbard, Norway, the northernmost inhabited region of Europe, there is no sunset from approximately 19 April to 23 August. The extreme sites are the poles, where the sun can be continuously visible for half the year. The North Pole has midnight sun for 6 months from late March to late September.
Any places in between could accommodate whatever I want. I like the variety we get in Southern Ontario.
