Old habits die hard...

I saw the look in my mom's eyes again: daggers that penetrate you deep down because you know what's in her intent. She won't do it again, you tell yourself. Yet, you know she wants to knock you down. Remind you of your place under her foot...

This was an old excerpt from my journal back in 2015. Damn, I didn't realize how bad it was, or I knew, but I had forgotten it all.

@SW-User Right! My mom would make threats like that and then some. That was along time ago. I'm older now, stronger, so she knows not to pull the same stunts.
