Would you want for a manager who is selfish?

i just started a new job and had met the owner of the shop. and as I was there I realized how selfish he is. He kept on badmouthing other places, saying his stuff is better, this place sucks. And goes to every restaurant/coffee shop and badmouths then and even gossips about everyone’s personal life. I was only there for like a day and 4 hours already feel kind of uncomfortable working for him.. i know he’s the owner and wants to brag about his shop but it’s kind of selfish. I even tried his coffee and it’s not good. Would you want to work someone like him? am i wrong for thinking he’s selfish
