Fixed hours or flextime?
What about late arrivals due to unexpected circumstances?
Is that acceptable if you leave a few minutes earlier?

People are not children. In my world people would show up cause they feel needed, and show up on time, those rules would also be up to the workers

@Platoscave I asked about unexpected circumstances though. When you are unable to get to your workplace on time because of traffic jams, strikes, extreme weather conditions etc. Would that be tolerated?
Platoscave · F
@CrazyMusicLover In my world and in my coop....it would be tolerated

People have real lives while they are at work too.

Pretty simple. You work when we need you, and we expect a certain amount done before you go. You'll lose pay if you leave before that. You likely won't be fired over it though.

Fixed hours, little lenience for absenteeism, as it's a small business that needs to be open everyday. I think part of the reason I am kept on is that I never let them down in that regard.

Can’t be out any more than 15 sick days, 3 personal days, plus vacation.

@BlueRain What about late arrival due to unexpected circumstances? What are the consequences for an employee?
BlueRain · F
No one keeps track of me.

The job is about getting stuff done... Attendance is only of practical relevance
