Yes, I've seen it happen twice.
1st time, when I applied for a job, they said that the position had been filled. Then I got a call that night, and the guy that was offered the job, turned it down.
Same thing happened to my son, but they didn't hire him, they hired another guy...馃go figure.

Yeah if you're having three interviews with one company then chances are you're having three interviews with other companies too to increase the odds of getting a job. Then you reject one to select one.

That happened to a new potential manager in my last job. They got him for the third interview as they really wanted him, but he turned it down as he got a better offer.

Happened to me once, each time was with a team leader & HR member. After being rejected I asked for feedback, the HR member from the 2nd interview called & wasn't aware I had 3 interviews!

We鈥檝e had people do that to us. Pisses me off to no end. I swear they just used the process to negotiate their current job.
