How far do you travel to your job?

My journey is around 90 minutes. It used to be only an hour but I had to move further out.
The money I would save by not having to pay train fares is not enough to make up for the extra rent it would cost if I moved closer. It's very frustrating! My absolute dream would be to be within walking distance of a job.
It's used to be 30 to 40 minutes each way depending on traffic.
Since i moved it's 8 minutes each way.

I'm approximately four miles round trip. Very fortunate.

That's a long distance if you are driving. I travel like around 15kms on bike but it's a different thing

Mine is 90 minutes also. Really is tiring

[@701409,chuck7882] It is.

It's 65 minutes if the train and bus times coincide well. More like 70 minutes if I get the train and walk. But coming home, the trains are so full, there's sometimes no room for any more people, and the longest journey home was just over four hours.

[@24313,GlassDog] What's your journey?

[@873896,annamk] Not actually that far on paper. Into Manchester city centre from just outside the ring road. About eight or nine miles.

25 minutes

Less than 10 minutes each way. However, I have a new job that begins in a few weeks and and the commute will increase to probably 25 minutes each way.

[@335166,zeeva70] I think 30 minutes is about average and not a bad amount of time.

[@873896,annamk] Good to know.
