I have had that happen, just go to the interview, if they give you the job at the interview, which oalso happens but rarly, i usually get called back rather then told in person, tell them either thanks but i already have a job, or i will take it if you pay a certain amount. its fine to leave a job you just took, its actually better then working there and leaving jobs like people to work their lifetime there. but its a good question. i always take the interview.
Never let go of a bird in the hand, unless you鈥檙e absolutely positive you truly have job B and have actually been hired.

They should know I was serious based on how many times I followed up with them, and my thank you emails after the interview

If company B offers you a better job/better working conditions/more money take it.
tell company A they were outbid and thank them for their interest.
if they want to offer you more money they'll offer it then - or shortly after.
and don't feel bad about being at company A for a week or two and then saying "this isn't working, I'm going elsewhere"

@approachingmyexpirationdate is it a common thing for someone to do this type of thing? People will tell me "oh, you'll burn a lot of bridges if you do that" well its a small bank, so if I cant work at that bank anymore it's not a big deal. The only thing I do like is the location and the manager seems nice

@MntoNc here 8s the thing: you won't retire from the first job you take. A small bank is very political and if you hack off the wrong person then you are fired. (I have worked at a big ban and a small one)
Bigger banks will have more promotional opportunities. And if they are regional you can even work for the same company in a different location
If you don't get a job offer from comany b then learn what you can as quickly as you can in company a.
That will help you get your next job that will pay better.

What did the letter that you signed say? Did you commit to a length of time such as a year?If neither side made any such commitment then do what is best for you. They'll understand.

But I was wondering if signing and offer letter then changing your mind is a common thing.

Go do the interview and see what they offer. If it鈥檚 better, take it. Tell company A, thanks but you got a better one.

I would take the interview , if the offer / benefits are better , give the first one the chance to match
