Does anyone know any places to work online?

I need some extra income for me and my kiddo, and I'd be happy to do extra work, but I'm having trouble finding work that will accept my irregular schedule. I'd love to do work online where I set my own hours, so I can work at night and some weekends and get some money. I'm looking for legitimate places, potentially long term, and I have education and experience in Information Technology, Retail and Customer Service.

Thanks in advance :D

I know there are a fair amount of work from home opps in the call center/customer rep industry. For those with some smarts they can make some pretty decent money. A lot of the bigger corporations are bringing their work back from offshore because their customers appreciate speaking with a rep from the same country. The trick is finding the good ones that are well established and working with bigger clients. I spent a bit of time doing some work on behalf of (not with) a company called Arise Virtual Solutions. They had their act together. I seem to remember they had a training period though. Might be an area to look in to. Good luck

@Ynotisay Thank you, I will take that advice and look into them, and maybe others in the industry.

@MrMolderburry Right on. Good luck.

And to toss this out there, if a career change might be on your horizon..

A good friend of mine started taking classes a couple of years ago at night after her day job to become a medical coder. They work between doctors/hospitals and insurance companies regarding medical costs. It's pretty much just ready charts and inputting information. It's an industry that's exploding and won't go away.

Today she's working from home, making just under six figures and loving it.

As a work from home person myself there's a ton of benefits that come with it AS LONG as you still do the work.

Working on line would be easy. Lol if only life was easy.

@BlueRain My friend works from home, online. But his company isn't hiring at the moment, plus I would have to quit my day job.
