...and you came to the fermentation conclusion.... how...? Because there is a big difference between the soda going bad and growing fuzzy and it fermenting to alcohol.

@GwydionFrost No, but I used to help out in a local microbrewery back in Oregon, and when I leaned over that can and got a whiff, I recognized the scent.
