I Need to Be Intellectually Stimulated

1,163 people like to be Intellectually Stimulated, but I see very little stimulation on this group.

So what does this mean to you, "Intellectually Stimulated?"

To me, the mind is a turn on. Whether it turns into another type of turn on is subjective, but overall I really enjoy discussing all kinds of topics, preferably without them turning into arguments.

I think most people that also enjoy this type of stimulation can keep an open mind and consider things that may or may not agree with, even if they feel strongly about it. This is something I can do.

What is your mental turn on? Science (fiction or otherwise) math, history, grammar, other languages? Areas of study, Philosophy, the "great" books? Perhaps you're more practical and/or physical? I also believe that intelligence and personality/psychology have many links.

I know there are other people here probably feeling the same way.

Yes, I enjoy being Intellectually stimulated. To me it means my intellect is piqued, stimulated, aroused--overall, it makes me think. It evokes thoughts, wonder, opens new doors, presents unique angles, and all sorts of things. A rarity these days. Grammar, creative art, criminal psychology, the paranormal are a few examples for me.

Science is my area of stimulation. Nature is another. The two intersect quite often.

Miss you my friend. 🤗

@Livingwell I agree with that statement. Good to see you. ((Hug)) I can't believe I wrote this almost 4 years ago!

@ravenwind43 You haven’t changed in this way either. Hope you Sunday is nice and quiet. 🤗

Mine are math problems, selected sciences, and some specific areas of history. Not sure this is the kind of turn-on that turns into something else.

As I am sure most subjects aren't? The other two are fine but I am horrible at math, lol.

My wife is an actual genius (genius IQ), and she has a perfect record against me playing Scrabble. I even force the kids to take my side (but they rather not)... to team up against her... but haven't beaten her yet!... lol

Words are my area too. I started playing with my mom when I was 12. Even now I still have trouble beating her lol.

I think puzzles. but I'm feeling quite asexual right now.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
I can get into moods where I enjoy doing puzzles. I draw abstracts which sort of replaces the puzzle need:D
I love big words!
