I think you may be referring to the economy. There were many people laid off so the real estate there is cheap. I'm more concerned with the air pollution from the steel factory. It would seem the fresh ocean breezes would keep it under control.

@leowander or maybe they can prevent the factory filth from spilling into the waterways...and as an american I cry foul on myself...americans are the worst polluters on earth
