Do you travel often?

I thought I got a good deal.
Round-trip ticket, 4 day, 3 nights at a hotel for about 450. So I jumped on it.

Dont even get free breakfast nor free WiFi.
And parking is 30$ a night😬

Never planned a trip b4 so now I know
Yes. I move every 3 to 6 months. But I live in an RV so I take home with me.
@Stereoguy I have three currently. The joys of ADD. Lol. It drives my wife crazy I can't focus on just one at a time.

Don't you hate learning those kinds of lessons?

I discovered that it's usually best to make hotel reservations directly with the hotels, and flight reservations directly with the airline. Package good deals may at times look good .... until you have to change plans and discover that there's no way out of the "deal" :(

That’s not a bad deal

Lol, deals always have a "catch"... 😶 Sorry to hear, better luck next time ($30 parking 😳💸)
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@drymer right I see. And initially, we weren't gonna drive but to Uber everywhere is gonna add up too

Frequently. And yes, it’s the little ‘extras’ that kill you.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@ButterRobot yes, sucks

I drove 600 miles through a snow storm yesterday. Does that count as travel?
Always check the "fine print"...

Every day for work, once in awhile for leisure

I travel more than I live at home. All tourist cities charge 30+ dollars for parking. I remb when I was younger and on a budget and got slapped with this unexpected expense. Any hotel that dosent offer free breakfast, unless its a luxury hotel I would pass.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@REMsleep one a week or multiple? Do you like it?
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@iamnikki Once per week I am in a new city. If possible I try to get home on Thursday but sometimes I can't get home until Friday. So Im home Sat, Sun and hopefully Fridays as well. I like the autonomy but constantly traveling can be stressful(miss functions) as well as dealing with new people each week but then again I didn't like when I had to deal with the same people each week either. lol I was a supervisor and tried to make my department an awesome place and the toxic employees were killing me.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@REMsleep oh that's a lot. I don't think I'd like work travel that much. Like you said, dealing with new folks and their personalities everyweek, and also not liking being around the same folks.
I think once every 2 months would be ideal for me.🙂
