What is the longest distance you have driven in a day?

@Beatbox34 we were going to stop in Texas & get a room, but decided to keep going.. had to keep making her wake-up to help keep me awake. Lol

@MsMontgomery I drove and I fell asleep once. I stopped and consumed sodas with caffeine to keep me awake.

The second time was worse. On the motorcycle I drove like a maniac. It was super cold and I could barely feel my fingers. I thought of stopping to rest on the way but I gathered the courage to get home. By the time I got home, I was frozen and my body heat didn't recover until a few hours later.

@rjc36 It indeed is hard. I have driven in the extreme heat as well so I guess I'm used to it.

I can handle the heat much better than the cold anymore. Even with all the gear on. @Beatbox34

@SW-User That's really a lot. How'd you survive at the end of it.

We left at midnight and drove for about 17 hours only stopping for gas or food. We were exhausted but happy that we could goof around early at our destination the next morning!@Beatbox34

We all face that once in our lives as well.

@english It was a 350cc cruiser that I had owned back then. I'm planning to upgrade to a Benelli in the near future.

@Beatbox34 good going for a 350, i ride 900 Kawasaki Vulcan classic,

@english Munching miles on a 900cc would be a piece of cake.

@fallnhope I'm sure it would be hard without rests. I had to stop multiple times to feel my fingers when I used to drive in the chilly weather.

@Beatbox34 I can only imagine. I don't think I could've done it on a motorcycle at all.

@fallnhope I learned two lessons on that trip. One was to never wear less warm clothes while driving at night, second to never travel at night and the third to wear gloves.

By the time I got home I was all shivering and the body heat came back on after 5 AM and when I had reached my home at around 2 AM. It was brutal for me but regardless I was proud of being able to do that even though I had lost the faith to do that because of the cold weather.

@VeronicaPrincess It is and after the trip I had a body ache as I was in the same position on the motorcycle for hours.
