Which is the scariest city you've been to?

Why?
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Detroit. It's an angry failure of a city based not on people but on greed.
SW-User
detroit and chicago.. crime,violence
@SW-User Pseudo Liberalism at it's finest! Progressivism is more effective than nuclear weapons for the destruction of cities. Both Nagasaki and Hiroshima are beautiful cities now, but urban blight has destroyed much of Detroit and Chicago. You can throw all the money in the world at a problem and it won't change a thing until people's hearts and minds change.

@puck61 so much greed there. especially those in office.

@Fernie what makes it scary?
Fernie · F
@HannibalAteMeOut It's a filthy, filthy city full of angry, angry people/addicts
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Fernie I see
somewhere in new york, and not because of the people or anything.. it's because i got lost during rush hour on foot, and it was my first time there, missed my train, had a crackhead hitting on me, and i have anxiety.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@DancingStarGoddess ohh I see, NYC seems like not the right city if you have anxiety, or any huge city in the world either.
@HannibalAteMeOut if i know where i'm going and how to get there i'm fine, when anything deviates me from that path, that's when things start to freak me out. don't like not knowing what's happening around me at all. don't need to be in control. but DO for sure need to know what's happening so i can be on the same page.

Soweto - it was a township but near a city and it scared me because of the stories in the news but when we drove through it nothing happened..... so scared for a little while then normal - funny how the news makes us believe things
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@SW-User yes, they falsely exaggerate some things while ignoring some others on the news.
San Antonio Texas. Nearly died there twice.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@puck61 I wouldn't go back after that.
@HannibalAteMeOut Not in the shape I was in, anyway. I used to hop freight trains, and I hung with the crowd under the overpass for a while. San Antonio is very real in that regard.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@puck61 risky way of living, indeed

@Sniper seems like Chicago and Detroit are winning this race 😛

There are certainly parts of Chicago that scare me and that I refuse to visit.
