European Super League proposal is a disgace.

... it's business. The whole football thing is business. It's part of the entertainment industry, like Sony, or Marvel.
It is, but not exactly surprising. Most of the big clubs are owned by foreigners who aren't exactly emotionally invested in the club

It will be interesting to see if they are still keen if UEFA/FIFA tough it out and ban the clubs and players from their competitions.

@SW-User Yeah, a lot can go wrong and public opiniom in England is massively against it. The owners think they have the bottom line sussed out but sporting credibility is an intangible (yet crucial) value.

I hope FIFA stick to their guns. It would cost England national team but fuck it.

@Burnley123 Not just England, they'd be taking most of the world's best players out of International football. I think there will probably be a compromise with a new format for the champions league that favours the big clubs.

I read about that, wtf are they doing. I hope that never happens 👀👀👀 if they want to prove football is only about money then that’s the way to go

It really is. What the actual fuck. It'll mess up European football completely

I’m not sure it actually exists though.

I read the reports but couldn’t find one quote from any club or Manager or Chairman just loads of speculation from media.

I mean if it were earlier in the month I might have thought it an April fools gag.

Felt the same way about the Premiership back in the day

@Ironicman This is different though.

@Burnley123 to the fans yes, to the greedy corporates and media empires, no. For them, the next step. This is a sell out just like the Premiership was. It's all about the finance and the money.
