Anybody else watch summerslam

@thatscottishguy That's always the case. Takeovers are "This is the greatest thing I've ever seen" and major PPVs are "Well I wasn't that bored for five fucking hours."

😂 sad that's the best you can hope for with the main roster shows.

@thatscottishguy i enjoyed both shows alot as far as takeover goes i think the match i enjoyed the most was ricochet and adam cole but summerslam to me had more on the show that i liked summerslam was far too long of a show is really what the biggest problem was takeovers are better at hitting that sweet spot as far as time goes

Oh no the best match was Gargano vs Ciampa😂. Storytelling was incredible. Summerslam had less I liked as I enjoyed every takeover match. Best at Summerslam for me was AJ vs Joe. Loved the TNA chants😂.

@thatscottishguy that match was good I'm not knocking either of those 2 guys when i say this but I'm not a huge fan of those guys so that's why i didn't think that was the best match for me i enjoyed AJ vs. joe a lot i think that match made AJ look a ton more aggressive which is good

@thatscottishguy Gargano vs Ciampa is the best thing to happen in North American wrestling in forever. God damn what a great feud.

Maybe not quite as good as Omega v Okada in terms of wrestling spots but as far as storytelling goes it's probably better. Being a wrestling fan right now is fantastic.

@thatscottishguy Yeah - I specified North America for a reason since Omega v Okada is just on a level I didn't know existed right now. And yeah, it's a very good time. People are making money on the indies, the UK seems to have an amazing scene, New Japan is unbelievable, WWE have found the secret to monetizing mediocrity, and even Impact is worth watching again.

Yeah I know it's maybe unfair to compare to Japan but I think it shows how great they have done that my first thought is how does it compare. The UK scene really is great right now which is incredible considering the state it was in just a few years ago. Impact is watchable finally😂. I really hope Jericho helps them out. So many different promotions putting on incredible shows that it's impossible to keep up. Unless you're Dave Meltzer I guess.

On summerslam, I needed this. I feel interested again in the main roster a bit more and I was starting to stop watching the main roster. Just been keeping up through podcasts and shit. Here's hoping the NXT call ups tonight and tomorrow can keep me watching.

@CountScrofula @thatscottishguy did you guys here chris jericho tried pitch a match to vince were it would have been ic title vs ic title jericho vs rollins but of course vince shut him down that would have been really cool a new japan wwe crossover

@Thelonewolf1993 I did! I wish WWE would do cross-promotion because everyone looks better as a result but they haven't done that shit in forever.

@thatscottishguy Yeah agreed. Ronda Rousey in particular is astonishingly good at wrestling and Smackdown has been a pretty decent show. With the move to Fox I think they (must) have some huge angles planned to make a splash.

@CountScrofula I'm excited for Rousey fellas i was disgusted when i found out how many people are hating on Ronda its like they have no business sense having people like that in pro wrestling is good for business as a whole cause they bring in money

@Thelonewolf1993 Would have been great but you will never get Vince to agree to cross-promotion unless his guys win and crush the other (even if it's Y2J). In which case there is no point in New Japan wanting it.

@CountScrofula Tbf Smackdown has improved and I did start watching it again but still didn't look forward to it.
