How I Became A Grammar Nazi... ![]()
Sometime within the past 5 years, I read a few books like the hilarious Eats Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss and The Grammar Bible by Michael Strumpf and Ariel Douglas. I also saw a few grammar jokes and then all of a sudden one day I began to notice the poorly grammatized signs around me and one day I decided to take a picture of them. The first picture that I took was the sign that is pictured at the top of this post. After that I saw more signs and took more pictures of them. (I have posted many of them on Facebook.) The signs that I have seen were written by various people and organizations, including colleges, governments and private businesses. Sometimes I openly correct others when they use improper grammar, but I don't correct others as often these days; however, pictures of signs are still seen and captured.
