Why don't most people realize that SW is a game?

A game played by losers, but a game nonetheless

You could as easily say SW is a metaphor inhabited by enigmas exploring paradoxes but a metaphor nonetheless.
SW is what each person makes of it and winning and loosing is just one of many ways of evaluating the experience.
