Some places you have to do a drug and alcohol test to be employed - Why NOT politicians

Probably the same reason people didn't need drug or alcohol tests to get welfare until recently: they just don't want to deal with all the babies whining about how "unethical" it is. Refusing to work and using someone else's tax dollars to get drunk/high is what's unethical...
