Why does 1l bottle of Coke cost more than the 2 litre one?

It just doesn't make sense!

It's a shopping sales gimmick, they put stuff that's more expensive, in the front of the store usually the smaller bottles and make them expensive, because they know people aren't going to walk to the back of the store, or down another isle just to get something to drink. They do the same thing with candy, candy bars are usually a dollar while the candy in the candy isle are $3 and have more candy.
I agree! Sales people are so smart wh🤔

They are very smart. But when a consumer actually is on to their games, and their tactics the stores aren't too happy.

It makes sense money wise the company charges you for convince and makes bank.

They want you to consume more of products that are addictive and so they make them seem good value. It benefits them in the long run as you'll probably drink Coke your whole life.
I notice the small bottle tastes better!

@RadiantRuby: Ahh, that could be for lots of reasons. Because your sense of taste is really a sense of taste and smell, all kinds of things affect it, such as the aperture size of the bottle, what the bottle is made of. For me, Coke out of a small bottle made of glass tasted better than out of anything else. It also tastes different from a wine glass than from a pint glass.

The one litre is more popular.

you're paying for the convenience of the smaller bottle

Well, considering where some people insert the smaller ones, they have to make them stronger, I suppose. ; )
