What's something common today that used to be socially unacceptable?

Speaking ill of the dead.
Revealing a chronic or mortal illness to strangers.
Taking pleasure in other's misfortunes.
Asking casual acquaintances about their work or income.
Hures going into taverns to get drunk.
Unaquainted males assailing someone's honor.
Disrespect of a soldier, priest nun or police officer.

To name a few just in my lifetime.

Masterbation
Women complaining

Swearing in public. Spitting on the sidewalks.
