Why do some people ask for an honest opinion and then get angry for an honest opinion?

You see I'm a straightforward, blunt person and I tell it like it is no matter how much it hurts. I don't sugarcoat shit. I hate when friends sugarcoat things and it irritates the hell outta me. Just be honest. I rather have someone hurt me very bad with the truth than comfort me in a lie because lies hurt even more. Don't protect someone's feelings just because they want to hear what they WANT to hear. Don't ask if you don't wanna hear the truth.

Most people I come across want validation. They do not want to actually change anything about themselves and/or their situation.

Thus, they get angry at warranted commentary that does not match their needs and wants.

Their reaction to it is no one else's problem, that's for sure.

Wasting the time of honest people is the main issue by being dishonest about their intentions.

I value an honest opinion. I don't want anyone to not tell me what they really think. I might get annoyed if someone gives me there advice without me haveing asked for it but I can usually tell when someone is trying to help.

I also like honest opinions..but despise opinions that are honestly intended to insult..
