Autistic people have big difficulties to connect with others. The case you don't connect with people easily don't make of yourself a bad friend.
Perhaps, they also have problems to connect with you but it only means that there's a barrier. Noone is to blame.

Internet conections are even more difficult. People let them go with first impressions much more and they only count with a partial picture. In your case, it maybe even a more wrong picture because of your difficulties to write.
