if there was something wrong with your baby (before birth) would you get an abortion

alterlife · 26-30, F
if it'll significantly decrease their quality of life, yes. absolutely.

By the time they can determine the health,it's not a fetus anymore..I don't know the laws in the states but where i live you can only get an abortion up until 6 weeks or sth. Into the pregnancy

@Traubi: there's a double standard to everything in the states. If a woman chooses to give up the baby it's called abortion, but if someone would do harm to the woman that causes her to lose the baby... it's murder. It's a big joke.

@Unforgiven: well,no human made system is perfect right?

@Traubi: that's a fact!

Nope. I would keep it and love him/her only that much more no matter what. Plus my folks would kill me if i ever got an abortion.

That would depend o. The severity of the condition and how it would affect their quality of life..this world is hard enough..

Isn't that supposed to be a joint decision of both parents?
SW-User
That's absurd as the sperm contributed too
SW-User
@theowl: lol that sounded crass sorry
SW-User
yes i know its crazy but in the states women fight for rights over their body and no man has the right for a woman to tell her what to do. its all the extreme feminism.

You can control the problems by not smoking and drinking before pregnancy. Look up Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.. just to start
SW-User
yeah i know about fetal alcohol syndrome.
If I had already decided that I was going to have the baby? No.
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
depends on what it was...if it was severe then yes
SW-User
No, but I won't judge those that do.
tentimes · 31-35, F
If the baby had an illness incompatible with life or cause poor quality of life, yes. The most common thing people terminate for is Down's syndrome. I probably would, but feel conflicts about it.
